The FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions section is designed to provide you with short but detailed answers to the most common questions about our services, experience, terms of delivery, prices, transport service, team members, etc.
What type of services do you provide?
Art Photography Madeira provides photo and video services on the island of Madeira and the island of Porto Santo. Photo services and video services can be booked separately. However, if you order both photo and video, we can provide a discount.
What is your experience?
Out of more than 15 years in photography and videography, we have worked in Madeira since 2015, taking photos and videos of weddings, engagements, proposals, love story photography and videography, destination weddings, family events, commercial and advertising photos and videos, and many more. We have professional video and photo equipment (including the latest generation drone) that helps us to deliver images and videos with the best quality possible.
How quickly do you deliver photos and videos?
The time depends on the scope of work. The photos are delivered within one week to a maximum of 1 month from the shooting date. If required, we can send the best 5 photos from a photo session within one day after the photo session – we know how excited you are to show some sneak peeks to your loved ones (please, inform the photographer you want that, it comes without any extra charge)! The video production takes from 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the length of the video and the time of the year – the low or high season.
How do you deliver photos and videos?
You receive images and videos via a Google Drive link. The link is active for 2 weeks after the date of the delivery, so you have plenty of time to download your photos and videos. After that, the link is deleted. If you want to download the images and video after that, we can create the link again for an additional payment of 20 euros. Wedding images and videos can be delivered on a crafted wooden memory stick.
How much does a photo session cost?
We offer flexible packages to suit every occasion:
- 1-hour session — 2 locations, 40–50 edited photos — €220
- 2-hour session — 2–3 locations, 60–100 edited photos — €320
- Half-day session (4 hours) — 4–5 locations, 100–150 edited photos — €420
The starting rate is €220 per hour, but our multi-hour packages offer significantly better value — the more time you book, the more you save.

Do you have transport?
Yes, we have a car. For an additional 60€, we can pick you up & drop you off.
Do you charge extra for relocation?
We work on the island of Madeira and provide photo and video services in any location on the island without extra cost. We can go to the island of Porto Santo with the additional charge of the regular cost of public transport. However, if you need to propose on a very remote part of Madeira (far West or high in the mountains), we may apply a small surcharge of 40€.
Do you have a drone?
Yes, we have a latest-generation drone and an experienced pilot who can fly it under the most challenging weather conditions.
Do you charge extra for drone imagery?
No.
Can you provide a contract and financial/accounting documents?
Yes. Contracts are a must in wedding photography. Invoices are made after every payment of services.
How much in advance do I need to book your service?
As we have some reservations for 1-1.5 years in advance, it is recommended to contact us and book your date as early as possible. Ask us for available dates, and we will reply within 24 hours.
Do you take any booking fee?
Yes, we usually take 200 euros for booking wedding photo and video services and any large events during the high season (May/October). The booking fee is then discounted from the final payment. For engagements/proposals, a 100 € deposit is required to reserve a day/time of a session.
When do I need to pay for the photos/video?
The final payment must be made on the day of the photo or video session.
How many people are there in your team?
We have a group of professional photographers and videographers who work with us on a full-time or part-time basis and cover the events depending on the scope of work. Usually, we have a team of one photographer and one or two videographers for a wedding or a similar event.
Do you provide raw images of the photo/video session?
Sorry, no – for ethical and copyright reasons.
I want to book your service. How can I do it?
Contact us to check if the date you want the photo or video session is available. If yes, we will discuss all the details and can arrange a meeting in Funchal or other places in Madeira to talk face to face and have all the things clarified and agreed upon.
